Led management buyout of company in the FMCG sector.  Increased turnover from £2m to £5m, developed new products & operational/production methods and converted company from cottage industry to professional business. Sold to an MBI team.

 A Training & Enterprise Council            Financial Director            1991-1993

Joined just after it’s formation, following the ‘semi privatisation’ of the training and enterprise functions of local government. Responsible for merging local government employees with new recruits from the private sector and for devising & implementing the financial, administration and IT systems required to support the newly formed company.

N Ltd            Financial Director            1982-1988                                                               

Jointly responsible with MD for creating N, via a management buyout of the computer maintenance division of a company owned by the NEB.

Created independent company structure & systems from scratch, and ran all head office functions, including workshop repair and logistics control.

Ran for 6 years and sold for a 600% return on shareholders’ equity.

Financial Controller of the main trading subsidiary of NOS Gp, a computer company established by the National Enterprise Board.
